My Last Relationship

Blanket on the mountain top, snow,
Soothing sun reflected in the frozen lake below,
Sweat drips down to my cold shoulder,
Your warm embrace is one step closer,

Paint it all black,
and see my true colors in the darkness,
I hide in the shadows,
Of a never ending tunnel,

The depth of a setting,
The emotion of a color,
The relief of venting,
Words bring no closure...

  1. I really like this. I like how you started going deep and talking about black, darkness, shadows etc. It brought a really haunting feeling to your poem. Good job.
